HKDX Community Hub Exhibition

"Elements of SSP Design" is a community-driven initiative that champions design thinking while honouring Sham Shui Po’s historic legacy as Hong Kong's quintessential production hub for design and garment works. Drawing deep inspiration from the district's vibrant urban vernacular, the exhibition’s centre-piece is a tactile, interactive Heritage Map. Co-created alongside a local Hong Kong illustrator and neighbourhood craftswomen, the map captures the spirit of the community through intricate textile work. To foster direct engagement with local heritage, visitors are invited to pin buttons sourced from the nearby "Pang Jai" fabric market onto the map, literally weaving their own presence into the ongoing narrative of Sham Shui Po.
